Dänu's record store on Effingerstrasse in Bern is not only well-known in the city, but is also internationally regarded as one of the best record collections in Europe. For my photographic reportage, however, this store was not interesting because of its countless genres and highly coveted rarities, but because of its unique interior. The "Oldiesshop" is not a store in the classic sense, but much more, as the owner himself says: his personal collection in his hobby basement. Accordingly, the rooms are crammed to the ceiling with the colorful record sleeves, the aisles are a maximum of 90 cm wide, the whole store is labyrinthine, narrow and a paradise for stubborn collectors.
